Hopefully a restart.

I won't even say that this blog began in earnest and petered out; it began with a couple of thoughts and never actually started moving. I'm going to try getting it moving again now; given the general track record for blogs that don't begin with much information (and given my personal track record for almost anything that requires serious effort, too...) this probably won't get anywhere, but, I might do a better job this time.

Heaven knows I don't lack for material; Pete Takeshi and I spend three or four hours two to four times a week talking about various things, and I have a backlog of notes from these conversations -- in need of reworking into something like essays -- going back impossibly far.

Likely primary subjects are Star Wars (how could it not be? And the series as a whole is much better than Jabba), The Order of the Stick (possibly the only Tolkien-derivative fantasy that I've ever actually enjoyed, beyond an unfortunate dalliance with the first half of the first Wheel of Time book, which I mercifully never followed up), and Final Fantasy 6 -- which Pete Takeshi and I hope to play through soon, one plot sequence as a time and discussing as we go. So fairly standard content, that; but hopefully we'll have novel things to say. (Unfortunately, the discussion of Order of the Stick is likely to be kind of sideways -- this isn't exactly the beginning of the comic, after all.)

Well... I would say ça ira, except that I don't exactly care for the French Revolution, and Arial doesn't appear to include a capital cedillaed-C. At least it has macrons. Here goes.
